C++ / Qt Engineer – Surgical Robotics Software

We are seeking an experienced C++ / Qt Engineer with strong expertise in modern C++ development, Qt/QML, and application-layer software engineering for safety-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software applications within complex embedded or medical device environments.

In this role, you will collaborate with software architects, system engineers, quality teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop scalable application-layer software for surgical robotics platforms. You will be responsible for designing integration layers, enhancing software architecture, optimising performance, and contributing to the development of mission-critical applications deployed in operating room environments.

Requirements

Basic Requirements

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience in C++ software development.
• Strong expertise in Modern C++ (C++14/17/20) and object-oriented programming principles.
• Hands-on experience with Qt Framework and Qt/QML application development.
• Experience developing large-scale, modular, and maintainable C++ applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and integration frameworks.
• Experience with Git, GitLab CI/CD, version control, and automated build pipelines.
• Knowledge of SonarQube, static code analysis, and software quality best practices.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing software for medical devices, surgical robotics, healthcare, or othersafety-critical systems.

• Exposure to Linux-based application development.
