Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team building innovative software for radiation oncology and healthcare workflows. You will contribute to design, development, testing, and maintenance of software products while ensuring compliance with medical device quality standards.

The role requires strong C#, .NET expertise, experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, containers, and cloud/DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, and modern software development practices.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and distributed applications; microservices.

• Participate in all phases of software development lifecycle from requirements to maintenance.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust software applications and services.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software products while ensuring compliance with medical device quality and regulatory requirements.This role requires strong technical expertise in modern software development technologies, a passion for quality, and the ability to collaborate across global cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and secure software applications and services.Contribute to system and software architecture decisions and provide effort estimations for development activities.Develop high-quality, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices.Implement and execute unit, integration, and automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines.Investigate, analyze, and resolve software defects and production issuesCollaborate closely with Product Management, Verification, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and System Engineering teams.Ensure compliance with software development processes and applicable standards for regulated medical devices.Drive software quality initiatives and promote engineering excellence within the team.Mentor junior engineers and actively share technical knowledge across the organization.Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and continuous improvement activities.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.6+ years of professional software development experience.Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, and modern software development practicesExperience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed applications.Experience with microservices, and container technologies.Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and object-oriented design.Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience developing software for regulated industries such as healthcare, medical devices, or life sciences.Experience with OAuth, OpenID Connect, and application security best practices.Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as DICOM, HL7, and FHIR.Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Exposure to automation frameworks and quality engineering practices.Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and accountability.Who we are: We are a team of more than 72,000 highly dedicated Healthineers in more than 70 countries.
