Job summary

Worldline invites experienced software engineers to join our payments technology team in a fast-paced, international environment. You will contribute to the Worldline Pay Front Office, delivering robust C++ solutions, aligning with service delivery, and coordinating with senior developers.

The role demands 6–10 years in IT services, strong CI/CD, Git/UNIX, and cloud/DevOps familiarity, plus excellent English communication and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

• University degree (master/bachelor) in CS or engineering.
• 6–10+ years of IT services and software development experience.
• Strong C++ knowledge with SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, UNIX and Agile methods.
• Good English communication skills and mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions for processing electronic payments in Worldline Pay Front Office.
• Align requirements with Service Delivery teams and plan coding activities.
• Write, test, and review efficient, high‑quality code and tests.
• Perform code reviews, maintain existing systems, and implement adaptations.
• Document software aspects for maintenance and future revisions.
• Educate and train other team members on technical topics.

Who Are we Looking For:

• University degree (master / bachelor) in computer science or engineering
• At least 6-10 years’ work experience in IT services and software development
• Knowledge of object orientated programming in C++, with relational databases, SQL and data model development
• Previous experience within a continuous development environment and working with ci/cd pipelines
• Knowledge of git and UNIX
• Knowledge of Agile methodology
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving attitude
• Strong sense for curiosity, proactivity, flexibility, accountability
• Enthusiastic to work in an international, scaled agile team of experts in daily cooperation
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Good knowledge of English is mandatory, both spoken and written
• Knowledge of Docker
• Ability to operate in an advanced technically and fast-changing environment
• Knowledge or working experience on Cloud solutions
• Knowledge or working experience on DevOps practices
• Experience in the area of electronic payments, in Acceptance/Acquiring or Issuing
• Experience in mentoring junior developers

Key Responsibilities:

Develop software solutions for processing electronic payments based on the Authorization and Switching software suite "Worldline Pay Front Office"

Align on requirements with the Service Delivery teams

Coordinate and plan coding activities with Instance Owner; Scrum Master and Senior Developers

Write and implement efficient and high-quality code

Design, develop and execute test cases

Review results of test cases and make adjustments to meet requirements

Plan, organize and perform code reviews and quality controls on the delivered software packages

Maintain and upgrade existing systems and software

Implement product or customer-specific adaptations and extensions

Document all aspects of software, for ongoing maintenance and revisions

Train and educate other team members
