Job summary

Ciel HR in Chennai is seeking a software engineer to design and develop complex software systems and features. The role involves refactoring legacy C++/C# code to improve maintainability, performance, and readability, and designing automated tests to increase coverage across unit, integration, and UI tests.

You will identify and resolve technical debt, collaborate with QA engineers, architects, and product managers to align improvements with business needs, document changes and testing

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and system architecture.
• Drive continuous improvement in code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software components and tools.
• Modify existing software to meet specialized needs and configurations.
• Work through the product backlog, estimating time for coding, documentation, and testing.
• Provide input on system design and architecture.
