Job summary

Sigma Allied Services in Pune is seeking an experienced C/C++ Network Engineer with 8+ years of experience. The role requires expert C/C++ programming, Linux/embedded kernel work, and deep networking skills.

You will work on L2/L3 protocols, data plane optimization with DPDK, and cybersecurity features such as DPI, IPS, and firewall policies. The position emphasizes high availability, clustering, and real-time debugging using GDB, Wireshark, and Valgrind.

Qualifications

• Expert C/C++ programming in Linux/embedded kernels for high-performance networking.
• Strong TCP/IP, routing, switching and security protocol experience.
• Data plane and packet processing with multi-core systems (DPDK).
• Cybersecurity features like DPI, IPS, malware protection, firewall policies.
• Design scalable, HA and clustered high-throughput architectures.
• Proficient in debugging with GDB, Wireshark, and Valgrind.

Responsibilities

• Expert C/C++ Programming: Advanced systems programming skills in C/C++ within Linux/embedded kernels for high-performance networking.
• L3-L7 Networking Protocols: Deep development experience with TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, and security protocols (SSL/TLS, IPSec).
• Data Plane & Packet Processing: Expertise in multi-core architecture, packet processing engines, and optimizing data path performance (DPDK/UDK).
• Cybersecurity Defense Modules: Background in developing security features like DPI (Deep Packet Inspection), IPS, Malware Protection, and Firewall policies.
