Job summary

Sigma Allied Services in Pune seeks an expert C/C++ engineer for high‑performance networking on Linux/embedded kernels. You will implement advanced data plane and security features, including DPI and firewall policies, while ensuring scalability and high availability.

Candidate must have 8+ years of experience, strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, and hands‑on work with DP‑DK/packet processing in complex, real‑time environments.

Qualifications

• Expert C/C++ programming for Linux/embedded kernels in high‑performance networking.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and security protocols (SSL/TLS, IPSec).
• Experience with data plane design, multi‑core architectures and packet processing.
• Background in cybersecurity features such as DPI, IPS, malware protection and firewall policies.
• Ability to design scalable, high‑throughput systems with HA and clustering.

Responsibilities

• Expert C/C++ programming for high‑performance networking within Linux/embedded kernels.
• Develop and optimize L3/L7 networking protocols and related security features.
• Work on data plane packet processing, DPdk/UDK optimizations and multi‑core efficiency.
• Contribute to system architecture, reliability, and clustering for scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex memory leaks and network bottlenecks in real time.

• Expert C/C++ Programming: Advanced systems programming skills in C/C++ within Linux/embedded kernels for high-performance networking.
• L3-L7 Networking Protocols: Deep development experience with TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, and security protocols (SSL/TLS, IPSec).
• Data Plane & Packet Processing: Expertise in multi-core architecture, packet processing engines, and optimizing data path performance (DPDK/UDK).
• Cybersecurity Defense Modules: Background in developing security features like DPI (Deep Packet Inspection), IPS, Malware Protection, and Firewall policies.
• System Architecture & Performance: Proven ability to design scalable, high-throughput systems including High Availability (HA) and clustering.
