Job summary

Siemens AG in India seeks a seasoned SCM-Procurement professional to enhance supply chain logistics. You will drive procure-to-pay processes, negotiate terms with suppliers, and optimize inventory to meet production needs across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include managing imports, coordinating with 3PLs, and leveraging SAP, Excel, and Power BI to provide visibility and cost-efficient procurement. BE or Diploma with 7–10 years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient understanding of the full procure-to-pay cycle.
• Experience with supplier identification, sourcing, and PO issuance.
• Strong negotiation and commercial terms skills.
• Knowledge of forecasting, stock optimization, and logistics.
• Familiarity with procurement software and SAP.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Imports: deep understanding of customs laws, tariffs, FTAs, Incoterms, FTWZ transactions.
• Procurement: manage sourcing, identify needs, and issue purchase orders.
• Negotiation: secure best terms on pricing, delivery, and quality.
• Inventory & SCM: forecast demand, maintain optimal stock, manage product flows.
• Tech proficiency: procurement software, SAP, and Excel/Power BI.
• Communication: clearly articulate needs to internal teams and suppliers.
• Coordinate with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and CHA.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Imports : Deep understanding of customs laws, tariffs, free trade agreements, Incoterms, FTWZ Transactions
• Purchasing & Procurement Expertise: A deep understanding of the entire procure-to-pay cycle, from identifying needs and sourcing suppliers to issuing purchase order
• Negotiation Skills: Securing the best possible terms on pricing, delivery, and quality with vendors and suppliers.
• Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of forecasting demand, maintaining optimal stock levels, and understanding the logistics of product movement - Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systes SAP and tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Must be strong communicator to articulate needs clearly to internal teams and build strong, collaborative relationships with diverse Internal, External suppliers and vendors.
• Decision-Making & Problem-Solving: The role requires making timely, sound decisions, to address issues like delivery delays or quality problems. Strong organizational skills are needed to manage multiple purchasing activities and ensure deadlines are met.
• Experience in coordinating with 3PLs (third-party logistics providers), freight forwarders, and CHA
