Job summary

A leading steel manufacturer in Pune is seeking a Buyer - Spare Parts with at least 3 years of experience (3 years with a Master's degree and 5 years with a Bachelor's). The role involves managing procurement activities, contracts, and delivering savings targets. Ideal candidates will have procurement skills, operational knowledge of the process industry, and proficiency in tools like ARIBA and SAP. This is a hybrid position with a shift from 11 AM to 8:30 PM.

Qualifications

Hiring for a Leading steel Manufacturer


Designation: Buyer - Spare Parts

Location: Pune

Experience: Minimum 3 years (for Master's degree holder) or 5 years (for Bachelor degree holder) of experience in

Qualification: Master's degree in engineering and/or Business Administration / Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant experience

Work mode: Hybrid

Shift Time : 11 AM TO 8.30 PM


Responsibilities:


  • Actively participate in the strategic procurement activities for their respective procurement subcategory (procurement tenders and project management, long-term contract management, cost reduction actions, supplier panel management etc.).
  • Build transparency of subcategory spend in their respective scope and drive cost reduction actions.
  • Work closely with internal customers and other stakeholders to ensure effective strategic procurement, business continuity and implementation of best solutions.
  • Work closely with stakeholder in conducting research on supply markets, price benchmarks, and supplier profiles
  • Lead purchasing projects from the very beginning to the end
  • Manage contracts
  • Deliver savings and subcategory KPI targets and support Lead Buyer with necessary analysis ( Spend Analysis , cost optimization etc)

Preferred candidates:

  • Candidates from Process Industry with Operational knowledge of process industry and installations preferably steel / experience working in SSC / GCC
  • Operational knowledge of capital contracting (different contract applications)
  • IT skills (MS Office, usage procurement tools like ARIBA, IVALUA, SAP)
  • Any Additional European languages (French/Spanish/Polish/German/Dutch) are a plus.
  • Strong Project and Contract Management skills
  • Strong procurement skills (negotiation, Suppliers management, cost management, category management, legal),
  • Candidates with NP : 0 to 60 Days
