Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to ensure uninterrupted material availability for semiconductor manufacturing.

You will execute MRP in SAP, procure MRO materials, manage suppliers, and optimize inventory while partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, Stores and Suppliers to reduce downtime. This role requires flexibility to coordinate with the global ADI Procurement Team, monitor supplier performance, resolve procurement issues, and support cost-saving initiatives through process

Qualifications

  • 1–4 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, or Manufacturing Operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Review and execute MRP to ensure timely replenishment of production and maintenance materials.
  • Analyze demand, inventory levels, lead times, and supplier commitments to determine procurement actions.
  • Manage purchase order creation, maintenance, reschedules, cancellations, and quantity adjustments.
  • Monitor shortages and proactively mitigate supply risks impacting manufacturing operations and drive improved inventory health.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Category management and Operations teams on demand changes and supply recovery plans.
  • Manage procurement activities for repair and serviceable parts used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Prioritize and expedite critical tool-down requirements to minimize manufacturing downtime.
  • Coordinate repair order processing, supplier repair status tracking, and return logistics.
  • Monitor repair turnaround times (TAT) and drive continuous improvement with repair vendors.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Equipment Maintenance, and Operations teams to support equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Maintain visibility of open repair orders, aging repairs, and high-risk tool-down parts.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure delivery performance and responsiveness.
  • Conduct regular supplier follow-up for acknowledgments, commitments, expedites, and recovery plans.
  • Resolve supply, quality, and invoice-related issues through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with sourcing alternatives
  • Inventory & Cost Management Monitor excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining service level requirements.
  • Participate in cost saving and productivity initiatives through process improvements and supplier engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Stores, and Accounts Payable teams.
  • Communicate supply constraints, delivery risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
  • Support site shutdowns, maintenance events & capacity expansions.
  • Participate in operational reviews and provide procurement metrics and status updates.

Position Summary

The Buyer is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material availability to support semiconductor manufacturing operations through effective execution of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in SAP, procurement of MRO materials, supplier management, and inventory optimization. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Stores, and Suppliers to proactively manage supply risks, expedite critical materials, and minimize manufacturing downtime. This position requires flexibility in working hours to allow for communication and team participation with Global ADI Procurement Team. Buyer acts as point of contact for Procurement related assistance for our offices across ADI.

Key Responsibilities
