The position / About the job:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell products and services.
  • Analyze market insights and customer buying behavior to develop sales plans aligned with business division strategies and targets.
  • Develop and appoint partners based on territory potential, manage their growth, and organize events/exhibitions with partners.
  • Conduct market mapping for each territory, managing both direct and indirect marketing channels.
  • Identify and manage leads from the market and customers, converting them into business opportunities to ensure a healthy pipeline.
  • Engage actively in the market through visits, meetings, and interactions to understand customer needs and highlight product and service value.
  • Manage commercial operations by maintaining customer grids and proactive planning using our tools. Build and sustain a robust customer network.
  • Create profitable quotes tailored to customer needs, emphasizing unique selling points, and follow up to achieve a high hit-rate.
  • Utilize CRM and other tools consistently to support the sales process and inform decision-making.
  • Work proactively and systematically with sales teams to optimize efficiency.
  • Conduct market and customer analyses to identify business potentials and opportunities.
  • Implement and follow up on local sales activities with key accounts, partners, or markets to meet growth targets.
  • Systematically follow the sales process to capture all potential business opportunities.
  • Coordinate internally with business units and other sales managers to align customer and market strategies.
  • Be team and people-oriented, thriving in a multicultural environment.

Who you are?

As a Business Manager for North & East India in our Energy division, you will identify market opportunities and manage direct/indirect sales of products and services within the North & East India region (e.g., Key Accounts and Distributor business for industries like light manufacturing, HVAC, refrigeration, etc.). This role requires a high level of competence, independence, and additional responsibilities. Your strong business acumen and strategic approach will guide the organization to achieve excellence in customer experience and delivery. You are self-motivated, value-driven, and possess high integrity. A courageous mindset is essential.

What you can be?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required; MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in related industries, including distribution management, technical sales, B2B, and KAM handling.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across diverse terrains.
