Job Overview

HyTechPro is looking for a Senior BI Consultant who will take complete ownership of the Business Intelligence (BI) function for enterprise-scale transformation initiatives. This individual will act as the BI Owner during the Discovery Phase, responsible for defining strategy, governance, architecture, and roadmap. Following Discovery, this role will expand into a leadership position with responsibility for building and leading a BI team to implement and operationalize the roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the BI Owner for the Discovery Phase.
• Lead the assessment of enterprise systems (Admissions, LMS, HR, Exam, Finance, etc.).
• Conduct stakeholder workshops to capture business and technical requirements.
• Produce Requirements Catalogue.
• Create Gap Analysis Report.
• Develop BI Governance Framework.
• Design High-Level BI Architecture Blueprint (Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers, 360° data view).
• Prepare Phased BI Implementation Roadmap.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance standards are embedded.
• Collaborate with and guide a Business Analyst during Discovery.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Post-Discovery: build, mentor, and lead a BI team (data engineers, analysts, visualization experts) to deliver the BI roadmap.
• Establish ongoing BI governance, best practices, and standards.

Requirements

Qualification, Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in BI, Data Warehousing, or Analytics.
• Proven experience in owning BI strategy and leading BI teams.
• Strong expertise in the Microsoft Azure Data Platform (Data Lake, Synapse/Databricks, Data Factory, Purview).
• Proficiency in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboards, governance).
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise BI architectures and roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security frameworks (GDPR/FERPA preferred).
• Excellent consulting, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Domain knowledge in education or similar enterprise environments (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer / Solutions Architect.
• Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP).
