Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Advise on credit-related client solutions and assess loans from income and risk perspective.
• Prepare credit submissions for approval and monitor credit exposures throughout the client relationship lifecycle.
• Identify business clients’ credit needs and propose suitable products, services and/or solutions.
• Support efforts to gain new business and grow earnings potential from existing clients, including through client conferences.
• Advise and guide teams in the development of bespoke products, solutions and platforms.
• Work with colleagues to ensure products meet the needs of the bank and clients; may participate in transactions.
• Ensure optimal utilization of resources and compliance with performance targets and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and grow business contacts and leads in lending.
• Ensure compliance with internal and credit-related regulations including KYC requirements.

About the Role

One of our banking clients is looking for a Business Clients Credit Advisor, AS to join their team in Ahmedabad.

Business Banking is the liability business serving a wide variety of customers through distinct channels. The primary objective of the role is to enhance the value of the savings account portfolio through cross-sell, increase fee income, and support the acquisition of new clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on credit-related client solutions and assess loans from an income and risk perspective, within the existing credit processes.




• Prepare credit submissions for approval and independently apply for credit authority or approvals, while monitoring credit exposures and any credit material deterioration throughout the client relationship lifecycle.




• Identify business clients’ credit needs and propose suitable products, services and/or solutions.




• Support efforts to gain new business and grow earnings potential from existing clients, including through client conferences.




• Advise and guide teams in the development of bespoke products, solutions and platforms.




• Work with functional and cross-functional colleagues to ensure that products, solutions and platforms meet the needs of the bank and clients. May also participate in the negotiation and execution of mandated transactions with clients.




• Ensure optimal utilization of resources and compliance with defined performance targets, relevant internal guidelines, controls and regulatory requirements.




• Maintain and grow business contacts and leads in the lending business.




• Ensure compliance with internal and credit-related regulations, including QS audit results and KWG.




• Implement regulatory KYC requirements and maintain compliance with other applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines.

Skills & Experience

• Excellent communication skills in English and well groomed.




• Minimum qualification: Graduation.




• Minimum experience: 8–12 years in the relevant field.




• Individual contributor role requiring a Senior Banker.




• Good knowledge of investments, Wealth Management, Mutual Funds, PMS and Insurance.




• Experience in acquisition of New to Bank clients.




• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
