Job description
Overview

The role sits in GEC Urban Development and reports directly to the Discipline Director. Dotted line to the Business Development Director. He will be working with NA on a daily basis. The role is a full-time technical and stakeholder management role.

Role accountabilities
  • Overall verification and sign-off of milestone delivery of projects/tasks, liaise any concerns or development with the region if needed.
  • Ensure the delivery of projects/tasks within the team is in accordance with Management Systems to meet time, quality, and budget.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Engage with the senior leadership in the Region around technical matters.
  • Develop and implement new digital solutions on urban development projects Capability & Development.
  • Contribute to strategy and long-term requirements for skills and capabilities for service discipline, based on identified gaps between current and future needs.
  • Help build GEC competence and (additional) skills in line with future Service & Client need, to support growth, efficiency, effectiveness, and scale.
  • Help build sufficient technical leadership across GEC service discipline to help attract improved work diet from countries.
  • Interact with BIM and Design Automation Leads to support the development of automated solutions and digital tools.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Prepare, review, and update urban design plans, civil engineering works for various types of projects.
  • More than 15 years of experience working on civil-type projects.
  • Strong English language with great communication skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills (team player, eager to learn, supportive attitude, etc).
  • Availability to work for some periods abroad if the case.
  • Knowledgeable in Civil 3D & Navisworks.
  • 2D and/or 3D design of technical plans for residential or industrial areas.
  • Develop and implement new digital solutions on urban development projects.
  • Gaining a good understanding of the background of the North America countries standards regarding urban design.
