Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Business Architect to document and align business strategies with technology solutions, driving innovation and organizational success.

The role involves designing architecture, operating models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers and stakeholders. A Master’s degree and TOGAF/SAFe certifications are preferred, with about 5 years in strategy or IT roles.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in CS/IS or similar discipline.
  • BizBok/TOGAF and SAFe Agile certifications strongly preferred.
  • About 5 years of business or IT experience with strategy and solution delivery.

Job description

Responsible for documenting business strategies, assessing capabilities, identifying opportunities, developing plans, designing architecture, optimizing operating models, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technology solutions as a Business Architect to drive innovation and enable organizational success.
1. Document and visualize business strategies to align with organizational goals and objectives.
2. Assess and analyze business capabilities to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
3. Identify and evaluate business opportunities to drive growth and innovation within the organization.
4. Develop and align business plans with strategic objectives to ensure coherence and direction across the organization.
5. Design and develop business architecture and operating models to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
6. Analyze and develop business architecture components, including processes, systems, and organizational structures, to optimize business performance.
7. Revamp and optimize business operating models to enhance efficiency, agility, and alignment with strategic goals.
8. Deliver business architecture products, including frameworks, models, and documentation, to support strategic decision-making and execution.
9. Ensure alignment between business needs and technology solutions to drive innovation and enable business success.
10. Facilitate the development of business products and services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers and stakeholders.
11. Utilize business architecture tools and methodologies to support analysis, planning, and decision-making processes within the organization.
Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar discipline
Certification: BizBok/TOGAF and SAFe Agile certification strongly preferred
Experience: 5 years of business or IT experience with a direct responsibility for strategy formulation and/or translation, as well as designing, developing, implementing and monitoring efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
