Job summary

Citi is seeking a Business Analyst for Wealth Generative AI Platforms in Bengaluru, India. The role bridges Wealth Management experts and AI engineering, translating complex business needs into actionable requirements for AI developers and measuring AI solution performance to meet business goals.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in business or product analysis, strong process management, and knowledge of Generative AI concepts with Python experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathers operational data and telemetry from Generative AI platforms to examine past business performance and user behavior.
• Identifies usage patterns, user friction points, and AI output quality trends to inform enhancements in AI-driven decision-making.
• Recommends actions for future AI platform development and enhancements to AI-assisted workflows.
• Participates in exploratory analysis of AI model performance, qualitative analysis of user feedback, and evaluation of AI output against business requirements.
• Translates AI platform data and evaluation metrics into actionable business insights to drive feature prioritization and UX improvements.
• Continuously improves AI-assisted business processes and evaluation strategies by exploring new data sources and platform capabilities.
• Works closely with Wealth Management partners, AI Product Managers, and AI Applied Data Scientists to build and track AI decision strategies.
• Assesses risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets by ensuring compliance with laws and internal policies.

The Business Analyst for Wealth Generative AI Platforms is a key functional partner responsible for shaping how our AI platforms solve real-world business challenges. This role acts as the critical bridge between Wealth Management business experts and the AI engineering team. The Business Analyst translates complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements for AI developers and uses analytical skills to measure and evaluate the performance of AI solutions. The primary goal is to ensure our cutting-edge AI products, including agentic systems, are effective, reliable, and directly contribute to business goals by providing data-driven recommendations for their improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Gathers operational data and user interaction telemetry from Generative AI platforms to examine past business performance and user behavior.
• Identifies usage patterns, user friction points, and AI output quality trends to provide insights for enhancing AI-driven business decision-making capabilities.
• Recommends actions for future AI platform development, strategic business opportunities, and enhancements to AI-assisted operational workflows.
• Participates in the exploratory analysis of AI model performance, qualitative analysis of user feedback, and evaluation of AI output against business requirements.
• Translates AI platform data and evaluation metrics (e.g., relevancy, faithfulness, hallucination rates) into actionable business insights to drive feature prioritization and user experience improvements.
• Continuously improves AI-assisted business processes and evaluation strategies by exploring new data sources, evaluation tools, and platform capabilities.
• Works closely with Wealth Management business partners, AI Product Managers, and AI Applied Data Scientists to build, implement, track, and improve AI decision strategies.
• Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; adhering to Policy; applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices; and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Product Analysis, or a related field.
• Advanced process management skills; highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Conceptual understanding of Generative AI principles (LLMs, RAG, Prompting); Python coding experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated curiosity for learning and developing new skillsets at the intersection of AI and business.
• A positive outlook with a can-do mindset in a rapidly evolving environment.
