Job summary

Citi in Bengaluru seeks a Business Analyst for Wealth Generative AI Platforms to bridge Wealth Management experts with AI engineers and translate complex business needs into actionable requirements for AI developers.

You will analyze model performance, user behavior, and operational data to drive data-driven recommendations for improving AI-driven decisions and workflows, while ensuring compliance and risk considerations are embedded in all activities.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Product Analysis, or a related field.
• Advanced process management skills; highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Conceptual understanding of Generative AI principles (LLMs, RAG, Prompting); Python coding experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathers operational data and telemetry from Generative AI platforms to examine past business performance and user behavior.
• Identifies usage patterns, user friction points, and AI output quality trends to provide insights for enhancing AI-driven business decision-making capabilities.
• Recommends actions for future AI platform development, strategic business opportunities, and enhancements to AI-assisted operational workflows.
• Participates in exploratory analysis of AI model performance, qualitative analysis of user feedback, and evaluation of AI output against business requirements.
• Translates AI platform data and evaluation metrics (e.g., relevancy, faithfulness, hallucination rates) into actionable business insights to drive feature prioritization and user experience improvements.
• Continuously improves AI-assisted business processes and evaluation strategies by exploring new data sources and tools.
• Works closely with Wealth Management partners, AI Product Managers, and AI Applied Data Scientists to build, implement, track, and improve AI decision strategies.
• Assesses risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citi and clients by adhering to laws, rules, and regulations; escalating control issues when needed.

The Business Analyst for Wealth Generative AI Platforms is a key functional partner responsible for shaping how our AI platforms solve real-world business challenges. This role acts as the critical bridge between Wealth Management business experts and the AI engineering team. The Business Analyst translates complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements for AI developers and uses analytical skills to measure and evaluate the performance of AI solutions. The primary goal is to ensure our cutting-edge AI products, including agentic systems, are effective, reliable, and directly contribute to business goals by providing data-driven recommendations for their improvement.

• Gathers operational data and user interaction telemetry from Generative AI platforms to examine past business performance and user behavior.
• Identifies usage patterns, user friction points, and AI output quality trends to provide insights for enhancing AI-driven business decision-making capabilities.
• Recommends actions for future AI platform development, strategic business opportunities, and enhancements to AI-assisted operational workflows.
