Job summary

GS Software Product Development Company (GSSPEC) in Hyderabad is seeking an analytical Business Analyst to bridge product vision and execution. You will gather requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and developers to deliver software features.

Responsibilities include documentation of BRDs/FRDs, user stories, and process flows, plus supporting UAT and roadmapping activities.

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, and strategic Business Analyst (BA) to bridge the gap between product vision and execution. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and clients to define business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure successful delivery of software products.

Position Overview

As a Business Analyst at GSSPEC, you will play a critical role in gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and defining functional specifications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product features meet both business and technical expectations. You will also be involved in creating process flow diagrams, documentation, and assisting with user acceptance testing (UAT).

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and end users.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements for the development team.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and developers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Document process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new product features.
• Identify process gaps, propose enhancements, and support business process reengineering initiatives.
• Assist in defining product roadmaps, prioritizing features, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support product strategy and planning.
• Support QA and testing teams during UAT to validate requirements and ensure product quality.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to align understanding and expectations.
• Prepare business documentation such as BRDs, FRDs, SRS, and workflow charts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and business analysis techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Experience in preparing BRD, FRD, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, or similar platforms for documentation and collaboration.
• Good understanding of software products, databases, APIs, and system integrations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable specifications.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience working on ERP, Financial Accounting, or SaaS-based products.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or SQL).
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and product usability standards.
• Experience in writing user manuals and conducting training sessions.
• Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA, or similar) is a plus.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience: 2–7 years in a Business Analyst or Product Analyst role. Exceptional freshers with formal training may also apply.
