Jobtailor is seeking an Actuarial Reserving Analyst to support loss reserve analyses for P&C lines. You will work on established methods like Chain Ladder, Bornhuetter-Ferguson, and IFRS/GAAP reporting while collaborating with claims, finance, underwriting, and actuarial teams.
The role requires 0–3 years of reserving experience, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with reserving tools. A relevant degree and professional affiliation are essential for success in this position.
Support quarterly and annual loss reserve analyses using actuarial best practices, including Chain Ladder, Bornhuetter-Ferguson, Expected Loss Ratio, Cape Cod, Berquist Sherman, and Frequency/Severity methods
Prepare and analyze loss development patterns, trend, tail factors, and large loss activity
Identify emerging issues and explain reserve movements, variability, and key drivers
Maintain reserving datasets and assist in building automated analytical workflows
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify emerging loss trends and anomalies
Perform roll-forwards, AvE summaries, and other reserving analysis
Support the timely preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports by jurisdiction
Prepare actuarial exhibits, documentation, and reserve memos for reserve committee packs
Work closely with claims, finance, underwriting, and actuarial teams to understand claim development patterns and business changes affecting reserves
