Job summary

Hdfc Bank is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to translate business concepts into IT requirements and ensure solutions meet regulatory and priority guidelines. Responsible for post go-live support and production issues, ensuring smooth BAU operations.

The candidate will perform requirement analysis, design, vendor coordination, and quality management, coordinating with BTG and business teams to avoid slippages and deliver timely MIS reports.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years experience in banking/IT domain.
• Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
• Exposure to Basel II/III and risk concepts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Requirement analysis and design: capture user needs and translate into BE/TO-BE processes.
• Define functional solutions with vendor, obtain sign-off.
• Ensure UAT readiness with test plans and data; support production fixes.
• Provide production support and manage issues in production environment.
• Coordinate with vendor, business, BTG teams for daily operations.
• Progress reporting and MIS to track project status.

Job Purpose

Analyse, translate, and articulate Business concepts into system/process requirements with the objective to implement IT enabled solutions that meet Business user requirements within the regulatory guidelines and organizations priorities at any point of time with the objective to comply to the same. Support post go-live queries / issues for these requirements as well as BAU production support.

Job Responsibilities (JR)

1. Requirement analysis and design. Responsible for Functional Requirements Specification, Operations Process Design of Business user requirements. Ensure that Requirements are captured First Time Right” from the user and translated into cost effective, efficient TO-BE processes by reducing process redundancies and deficiencies.
2. Functional Solution creation. Work with the vendor to define the functional solution for the business problem. Signoff on the vendor solution document ensuring that the same can be implemented and will address the requirements as defined by the sponsor.
3. Delivery Certification & Quality Management. Ensure UAT's are conducted in a through manner and the same translates to quality deliverables. Prepare test plans to ensure complete system functionality is tested. Prepare test plan to consider all business scenarios to be tested. Document the test data along with the test results to ensure resolution of the error and its impact on any other related functionality. Intimate all concerned about the testing Agreement on Requirements. Changes to Requirement Wrong solution for the Requirement Requirement Gaps Classification - Internal Classification - Internal results. Obtain the requisite sign-offs from audit/user/technology for the change/patch/bug fix to be moved to production Also ensuring necessary system / operational controls are laid down in order to ensure zero defect rollouts.
4. Production Support. Provide functional support for applications being managed. Analyze problems which are encountered in the production environment. Ensure Over all functional support for enhancement, errors, maintenance and production support for applications being managed. Planning and Scheduling production support activities. Bug fix resolution, UAT and implementation, SFR tracking and reporting.
5. Interaction with Vendor, Business, BTG project resources for day to day operations. Work closely with the various teams to ensure deliverables are on track.
6. Progress Reporting. Monitor the project for task / schedule slippages. Report to the project manager any potential slippage in tasks for suitable action. Prepare project MIS to track, report and monitor the project.

MCA / MBA / BE / MSc / B Tech or BSc IT / Graduation

Key Skills (examples listed below)

• a) 4-8 years experience which could be a combination of a. Technical domain understanding across Banking Applications, especially Oracle’s OFSAA Application. b. System functional knowledge, related banking/process knowledge and relate skills viz: Analytical, Documentation, Communication c. Exposure to Various product lines mentioned “Credit Risk’, “Risk Weighted Assets”, “Basel II / Basel III”, “Standardised Approach”, “Excpected Credit Loss (ECL)”, “Risk Estimation and Pooling”, etc
• b) System functional knowledge, related banking/process knowledge and relate skills viz: Analytical, Documentation, Communication
• c) Good Exposure to domains of banking
• d) Performance Tests / Benchmarks, Integration with Autosys, TNG, etc. related tasks.
• e) Constantly identify initiatives to improve process efficiency and TAT’s.
• f) Vendor Co-ordination – Interact with Vendor on-site / Off-Site Delivery Teams for getting deliverables as per Project Timelines, tracking slippages, ensuring quality of deliverables and necessary escalations and arrive at remedial measures
