Job summary

Aptonline is seeking a Business Analyst to bridge government department officials, project teams, vendors, and end users in Hyderabad. The role focuses on requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation across SDLC and governance projects.

The ideal candidate will produce BRD/FRD/SRS, lead UAT, create test cases and MIs reports, and coordinate across multiple departments to ensure timely delivery and successful rollout of applications.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT/software projects is required.
  • Exposure to Government, PSU, e-Governance, or public-sector projects is preferred.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong requirement gathering and business-process-analysis skills.
  • Hands-on experience preparing BRD, FRD/SRS, user stories, use cases, and process-flow diagrams.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and databases is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of UAT, defect tracking, and requirement traceability.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with senior government officials and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with Government Department officials, project stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to understand business requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, validate, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Prepare BRD, FRD, SRS, FRS, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
  • Study existing government processes and prepare As-Is and To-Be process flows.
  • Coordinate with development, testing, implementation, and support teams.
  • Participate in UAT, requirement validation, issue tracking, and resolution coordination.
  • Prepare UAT scenarios, test cases, requirement traceability documents, and sign-off documentation.
  • Coordinate with government users during application implementation and rollout.
  • Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, presentations, MOMs, status reports, and project progress reports.
  • Track project deliverables, milestones, issues, dependencies, and action items.
  • Support project managers in monitoring timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments/agencies and ensure timely closure of requirements and issues.
  • Support preparation of project documentation required for reviews, audits, and government meetings.
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops, requirement discussions, demonstrations, and training sessions.
  • Maintain proper documentation and version control of project deliverables.
  • Perform other BA/project-coordination activities assigned by the Project Manager.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
