Job summary

Promaynov Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd seeks a seasoned Business Analyst to elicit and document requirements for insurance and wealth management solutions.

You will translate business needs into functional specs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive process improvements to enable automated, compliant delivery. You will support Agile ceremonies, perform data analysis, and ensure traceability from business objectives through testing and implementation.

Qualifications

• Data analysis and data mapping skills are required.
• SQL and reporting tools proficiency is required.
• Experience with APIs and UAT preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• Domain knowledge in insurance, wealth management, and US supplemental health/worksite insurance.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to COTS products like EIS, DuckCreek, Majesco, Guidewire, wMA.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions.
• Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and QA to ensure requirements are understood and implemented.
• Perform business process analysis and process improvement initiatives for automation and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain process models, workflows, and data mappings to support design and implementation.
• Facilitate requirements refinement and support Agile ceremonies like backlog grooming and sprint planning.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and opportunities for better decision making.
• Support UAT by defining test scenarios and obtaining stakeholder sign-off.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and audit controls in insurance/financial services.
• Maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

• 1. Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions. 2. Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria that enable successful solution delivery. 3. Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are accurately understood and implemented. 4. Perform business process analysis and process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and operational efficiency. 5. Develop and maintain business process models, workflows, use cases, and data mappings to support solution design and implementation. 6. Partner with business stakeholders to understand and translate insurance, wealth management, and financial services requirements into actionable business and system requirements. 7. Facilitate requirements refinement sessions and support Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. 8. Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, business impacts, process gaps, and opportunities for improved decision-making. 9. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios, validating business requirements, coordinating testing activities, and obtaining stakeholder sign-off. 10. Ensure compliance with business policies, regulatory requirements, governance standards, and audit controls applicable to the insurance and financial services industry. 11. Manage requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment between business objectives, solution design, testing, and implementation. 12. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business and technology teams while providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior analysts. Preferred Skills
