Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) licence is mandatory.
• 2–5 years of heavy vehicle driving experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Responsible, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles safely in accordance with traffic rules and regulations.
• Transport staff, students, materials, and other authorized personnel as assigned.
• Ensure timely pickup and drop-off as per the schedule.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and check brakes, tyres, lights, fuel and other components.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and upkeep.
• Report mechanical issues, breakdowns and maintenance requirements promptly.
• Maintain trip sheets, logbooks, fuel records and other vehicle documents.
• Ensure all vehicle documents, permits, insurance and fitness certificates are valid.
• Follow institutional safety policies and maintain professional conduct.
• Coordinate with the transport department for daily schedules and vehicle assignments.
