Job summary

Trinnex Inc. in Bengaluru seeks an experienced BIM Engineer to lead and maintain 3D Plant3D models for industrial plants. You will collaborate across disciplines, perform clash detection, generate construction documents, and mentor junior modelers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project standards.

The role requires 6+ years in P3D, Autodesk Plant3D certification, and strong communication skills, with international project experience a plus. Travel to abroad offices may be involved.

Qualifications

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D Certified Professional.
• Minimum 6+ years of relevant P3D experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Experience with International projects and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintain detailed 3D plant models using Plant3D.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet requirements and standards.
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within models.
• Generate construction documents from 3D models (plans, sections, details).
• Coordinate with Civil, Instrumentation, Structural, Electrical disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to junior modelers and team members.
• Review and validate models for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on modeling issues.
• Mentor and train junior modelers for continuous learning.
• Stay updated with BIM and Plant3D advancements.
• Knowledge of Water/Wastewater processes and unit functions.
• Knowledge of Navisworks Manage clash detection.
• Knowledge of vessel/valve data sheets.
• Knowledge of pressure vessels, pumps and blowers.
• Knowledge of various valves and instruments.
• Knowledge of pipe supports and pipe material specs.
• Knowledge of pipe material specifications and standards.
• Knowledge of Point Cloud, Civil 3D and REVIT MEP advantageous.
• Integrate with Civil 3D, Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage and Auto Plant 3D.
• Coordinate with Civil, Instrumentation, Structural, Electrical teams (India & abroad).
• Proficiency with civil, mechanical and Point Cloud drawings.
• Implement cost-saving approaches to drawing production.
• Use plugins to integrate other apps to generate drawings per project needs.
• Attend client coordination and review meetings and present status.
• Travel abroad or to other offices for projects.

• Implement innovative approach to reduce drawing production cost and hours.
• Efficient use/plugins for integrating other applications (Bentley Auto Plant 3D, Revit MEP etc.) to generate drawings based on specific project requirement; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Attend client coordination and review meetings, prepare and present project status updates, and support Project Lead/Team Lead in engineering related tasks; implement safety and quality aspects into design.
• Travel abroad or to other offices in India for projects and assignments.

Qualifications
