Job description

Your responsibilities as a Network and System Administrator include:

1. Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate customer’s networks and in-house servers.
2. Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
3. Ensure that email and data storage networks work properly.
4. Keep an eye out for needed updates.
5. Support and administer third-party applications.
6. Ensure network security and connectivity.
7. Operate master consoles in order to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, coordinate computer network access and use, and test for weaknesses.
8. Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
9. Resolve problems reported by the end-user.
10. Define network policies and procedures.
11. Specify system requirements and design solutions.
12. Research and make recommendations on server system administration.
13. Consult clients to specify system requirements and design solutions.
14. Work with IT support personnel.
15. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
16. Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.
17. Analyze equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair or replacement.
18. Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records.
19. Make sure that employees’ workstations are working efficiently and they stay connected to the central computer network.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in a network administrator role.
2. Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching.
3. Knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
4. Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
5. Ability to set up and configure server hardware.
6. Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
7. Great at organizing, prioritising and multitasking.
8. Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹97,032.00 – ₹450,000.00 per year
