Job summary

Equitas Small Finance Bank in Karnataka invites a candidate to join the vehicle finance team. The role focuses on sourcing and processing finance for New Commercial Vehicles, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring timely documentation for smooth approvals.

You will engage with dealers and customers, leveraging market references to build a consistent pipeline while adhering to RBI policies and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in vehicle finance or related banking roles.
• Experience with used commercial vehicle finance is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills in English and local language.

Responsibilities

• Develop a steady pipeline of finance applications for New Commercial Vehicles through direct sourcing, dealers, and market references.
• Manage customer relationships with timely and professional responses to requirements.
• Ensure timely collection of all loan documentation and information to support First Time Right processing.
• Generate and pass on leads for cross-sell products like savings accounts and deposits.
• Ensure compliance with RBI regulations and internal policies.

Purpose of the role

To ensure high quality delivery of relevant vehicle finance products & services to our clients in a fair and transparent manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop consistent pipeline of applications from good quality customers who require finance for purchase of New Commercial Vehicles through direct sourcing, Dealers, market references etc.,
• Effectively manage relationships with all customers by responding to their requirements in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure that all documentation and information related to loan proposals are obtained in a timely manner to practice First Time Right’ principle.
• Actively generate & pass on leads for cross-sell products like Saving Accounts, Current Accounts, Term Deposits, FASTag (wherever applicable)
• Ensure 100% compliance to Policies & Processes and all regulatory matters of RBI and other statutory bodies

Desired Experience

Number of years of experience (range): 1-5 years

• Type of companies/sector worked for: OEM / Dealer Sales / Banks/NBFCs, should have relevant experience used commercial vehicle finance .
• Responsibilities managed in the previous organizations: The applicant should have experience in Used Commercial vehicle finance, should have excellent contacts in the local vehicle finance market. Experience in understanding viability, vehicle types, dynamics of used commercial vehicle market is critical for this role.
• Languages: Working knowledge of English and fluency in regional language of the state applying for. Ability to speak in other regional languages would be an added advantage.
• Computer/technical skills (if any): Should be comfortable in using Excel (ability to analyze reports sent from Head Office) and email (ability to communicate clearly in written English).
