Job summary

Poonawalla Fincorp seeks an experienced Branch Operations Manager to oversee overall branch performance, profitability and customer service. You will drive field marketing, manage KYC and loan disbursal processes, vault custody, and reporting with strict policy compliance.

The role requires 7+ years in gold loan or asset product sales, MBA or equivalent, and strong leadership to coach and develop branch teams across operations and sales.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product/sales experience in gold loan or asset products.
• MBA or equivalent education required.

Responsibilities

• Drive & participate in field marketing activities to improve branch visibility.
• Plan, conduct & monitor branch and field activities to ensure healthy lead pipeline and growth.
• Engage customers and appraise gold ornaments with correct weight and purity as per policy.
• Joint custodian of the Vault and safekeeping of pledge ornaments.
• Verify KYC documents, handle applications and initiate loan disbursals.
• Process foreclosure, part release, closure, and interest payments on customer requests.
• Authorize disbursal, foreclosure, release and customer payments.
• Keep NPAs under control through strong follow-ups for interest collections.
• Plan for smooth branch operations and foster team cohesiveness.
• Hire, coach, mentor and train employees with timely performance feedback.
• Maintain quality and performance, prepare reports and drive growth.
• Increase gold loan business and other third‑party products.
• Ensure 100% process compliance and accurate valuation of pledged ornaments.
• Maintain accurate valuation and compliance during ornament appraisal.

• Plan, conduct & monitor the branch & field level marketing activities to ensure healthy pipeline of leads resulting in business conversion & branch growth.
• Focus on customer engagement & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.
• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledge ornaments as per company policy.
• Verify customer KYC documents, application requests and initiate loan disbursals.
• Process foreclosure, part release, closure, interest payment transactions based on customer requests.
• Authorize transactions for disbursal, foreclosure, release and accept customer payments.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow-ups from customers for interest collections.
• Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch & for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers.
• Hiring, coaching, mentoring and training employees and providing them with timely feedback on their performance.
• Maintaining quality & performance of the business, preparing various reports of the same and take necessary actions for growth of business in branch.
• Increase gold loan business plus various other third-party products.
• Responsible for correct valuation & maintenance of 100% process compliance at branch.
• Manage error-free valuation & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

• 7+ years of Product / Sales experience in Gold loan or other Asset products, Post Graduate Degree in MBA or Equivalent
