Job summary

Poonawalla Fincorp is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee overall branch operations, performance and profitability in India. The role requires ensuring regulatory and company policy compliance while driving growth and customer engagement.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in gold loan or asset products, with MBA or equivalent, and strong leadership, planning, and KYC/valuation expertise to manage the branch and its team effectively.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Product / Sales experience in Gold loan or other Asset products; MBA or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Drive and participate in field marketing activities to improve branch visibility.
• Plan, conduct and monitor branch and field marketing activities to ensure a healthy pipeline of leads and business growth.
• Engage customers and appraise gold ornaments for pledged collateral with correct weight and purity.
• Joint custodian of the Vault with safekeeping of pledge ornaments as per policy.
• Verify customer KYC documents, process loan disbursals and handle foreclosure/closure transactions.
• Authorize transactions for disbursal, foreclosure, release and customer payments.
• Maintain NPAs through follow-ups and collections; ensure compliance and reporting.
• Plan for smooth branch functioning and develop cohesiveness within the team.
• Hire, coach, mentor, and train employees with timely feedback on performance.
• Maintain quality and performance of the business and prepare branch growth reports.
• Aim to increase gold loan business and other third-party products.
• Ensure 100% process compliance in valuation and appraisal.

Job description

Responsible for overall branch operations, performance & profitability of the branch.

Responsibilities

• Drive & participate in field marketing activities with the team to improve branch visibility.
• Plan, conduct & monitor the branch & field level marketing activities to ensure healthy pipeline of leads resulting in business conversion & branch growth.
• Focus on customer engagement & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.
• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledge ornaments as per company policy.
• Verify customer KYC documents, application requests and initiate loan disbursals.
• Process foreclosure, part release, closure, interest payment transactions based on customer requests.
• Authorize transactions for disbursal, foreclosure, release and accept customer payments.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow-ups from customers for interest collections.
• Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch & for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers.
• Hiring, coaching, mentoring and training employees and providing them with timely feedback on their performance.
• Maintaining quality & performance of the business, preparing various reports of the same and take necessary actions for growth of business in branch.
• Increase gold loan business plus various other third-party products.
• Responsible for correct valuation & maintenance of 100% process compliance at branch.
• Manage error-free valuation & appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight & purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Product / Sales experience in Gold loan or other Asset products, Post Graduate Degree in MBA or Equivalent
