Job summary

IDFC FIRST Bank is seeking a Branch Manager in Jalna to lead daily operations, drive branch targets, and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will manage a team of banking professionals, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate across departments to grow deposits, loans, and cross-sell bank products.

The role requires a proven track record in retail banking, strong leadership and English communication, with flexibility for extended hours and travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in retail banking.
• At least 2 years in a managerial role within banking.
• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance; MBA preferred.
• Excellent English and business communication.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations including customer service, sales, and staff management.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch targets and business goals.
• Monitor branch performance metrics and take corrective actions where necessary.
• Achieve overall product targets for the branch including CASA, Term Deposits, Investments, Insurance, Trade Services, Retail Assets & Business Banking products
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while promoting bank products and services.
• Lead, coach, and motivate branch staff to meet individual and team performance goals.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a low attrition rate within the branch
• Ensure hiring is aligned as per the manpower budgets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and drive growth.
• Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on branch activities and performance to senior management.

What We Are Looking For

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA) are preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail banking.
• At least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role within a banking environment.
