Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Branch Business Manager for Secured & Unsecured Lending to lead a team of RMs/BSMs and drive growth in the Tamil Nadu region. You will own risk mitigation, portfolio quality, and customer experience while building strong referral networks and collaborating with Credit and SME teams for timely loan decisions.

The role requires proven leadership in lending, a track record of achieving targets, and deep understanding of micro markets, NBFCs, and affordable housing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of team leadership in sales roles.
• Experience with RO/RM/BSMs and on-roll team members.
• Exposure to Affordable Housing or NBFC sectors.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recruit and retain high performers.
• Sound knowledge of micro markets and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate RO/RM/BSMs to exceed monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual budgets.
• Own and resolve early mortality, delinquencies and NPAs from new sourcing and existing portfolio.
• Identify micro markets and empanel referral partners to scale Micro LAP and Gold-backed secured loans.
• Liaise with Credit and SMEs to clear loan proposals for faster decisioning.
• Cross-sell Insurance to loan customers to protect property, health, and life.
• Represent SULB Muthoot Fincorp at the location for practical purposes.
• Suggest improvements for customer experience to Sr. Management.
• Monitor competition and report to Zonal and National teams.
• Collaborate with Muthoot Fincorp branches for smooth disbursement and safekeeping.
• Attract and retain high performers in the team.
• Coordinate with law authorities to resolve conflicts.

Main Tasks & Areas of Responsibility

• Lead & Motivate team of RO/RM/BSMs to build to Overachieve Monthly / Quarterly / Half Yearly / Annual Business Budget
• Own & resolve the early mortality, delinquencies and NPAs from new sourcing and existing portfolio.
• To find new micro markets and empanel good quality referral partners to scale up Micro LAP business & Gold backed secured business loan (Suvarna)
• To liaison with Credit, Subject Matter Experts at different levels to clear customers’ loan proposals for faster decisioning
• To Cross Sell Insurance effectively to the loan customers to safeguard their Property, Health & Life.
• To Be the Face of SULB Muthoot Fincorp for that Location for all practical purposes.
• To Constantly look out for opportunities for improve customer experience by giving inputs to the Sr. Management for addressing the unmet needs of the customer.
• To Watch closely the Competition activities and report the same to the Zonal and National teams.
• To Work closely with Muthoot Fincorp branches for smoother disbursement of Gold backed Secured Loans and their safekeep.
• To Attract & Retain High Performers in the Team.
• To effectively liaison with law authorities for resolving conflicts if any.

Skills and Exposure

• A result oriented individual with Positive Mental Attitude with Integrity, willing to put hardwork.
• Proven ability to Recruit and Retain high performing RO/RM/BSMs.
• Atleast 5 years experience in leading a team of Sales Exectives, Team Leaders, with atleast 2 years of Onroll team members.
• Having good working knowledge on Lower & Middle Income Customer Segments, having worked in similar role in an Affordable Housing or NBFC, with minimum 2 years of similar exposure.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Ability to Work & Deliver business targets under pressure
• Working knowledge of Collections/ Recoveries.
• Be Accountable for Portfolio Quality of the Location.

Special Requirements (If any)

Direct team managing experience mandatory

Working knowledge of Affordable Home Loans / Micro LAP business exposure, preferable.

Should be able to manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate with State, Zonal, National teams

Educational Qualification / Technical Certification

Any UG/PG or MBA
