Job summary

Barclays in Pune is seeking a BPM Developer to drive the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, delivering scalable, secure software and robust digital solutions for our customers and colleagues.

You will bring hands-on BPM development experience, especially with IBM BPM v857 and BAW, apply Agile methods, and collaborate across teams to design, build and test complex BPM applications, while emphasising security, performance, and maintainability.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on BPM development experience in banking/financial services.
  • Experience with IBM BPM v857 and IBM BPM/BAW platforms.
  • Strong understanding of BPM system architecture and class hierarchy.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodology, application design and unit testing.
  • Experience delivering complex IBM BPM applications with multiple modules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Job description

Join us as BPM Developer at Barclays, where you will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our digital solutions.

To be successful as a BPM Developer, you should have experience with:

  • Hands-on software development experience; particularly within Banking and financial services industry
  • Experience and thorough understanding of business process management (BPM) systems like (IBM BPM v857 and BAW)
  • Experience in development on IBM BPM platform, and thorough knowledge about IBM BPM Class Hierarchy
  • Hands on experience in Agile methodology, application design and unit testing
  • Experienced in delivering critical, complex IBM BPM application with numerous modules involved

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Client Lifecycle domain knowledge (client Onboarding, maintenance and off-boarding) business analysis and / or technical knowledge preferred
  • Experience in implementing various types of integrations using IBM BPM

The role is based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
