Job summary

Growth Accountants India, the Chennai hub of Growth Accountants UK, is hiring a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Chennai outsourcing team. You will handle daily bookkeeping, support monthly reporting, and coordinate with UK clients while being trained on UK accounting systems.

We seek 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience, solid accounting knowledge, and proficiency with Xero or QuickBooks. A Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance is required; CA Inter / ACCA / CPA is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and journal entries.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks preferred).
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CA Inter / ACCA / CPA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports
• Perform daily bookkeeping: bank reconciliations, A/P, A/R, and payroll support
• Record journal entries and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings
• Use cloud-based accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks
• Liaise with UK clients and accountants in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain organized digital records and uphold internal process standards

About the Role
