Job summary

TAURUS ENGINEERS in Bengaluru is seeking a Boiler Service Technician. This full-time, hybrid role involves on-site boiler service at client sites and remote reporting tasks.

You will inspect, maintain, and repair industrial and commercial boiler systems, and document service activities. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, replace faulty components, calibrate equipment, and ensure safe operation in line with standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI or equivalent in mechanical/electrical field and boiler operation knowledge.
• Hands-on boiler inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals relevant to boiler systems.
• Knowledge of safety standards, pressure vessel regulations, and local codes.
• Basic knowledge of electrical controls and instrumentation for boilers.
• Experience with documenting service logs and technical reports using digital tools.
• Strong client communication and professional conduct.

Role Description

The Boiler Service Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with a mix of on-site work at client locations and some work-from-home tasks such as reporting and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, and repairing industrial and commercial boiler systems; performing routine preventive maintenance; troubleshooting mechanical and control issues; and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. The technician will conduct diagnostic tests, replace or repair faulty components, and calibrate equipment in line with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards. The role also involves preparing service reports, maintaining accurate maintenance records, coordinating with supervisors and clients on service schedules, and adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations. The technician may support installation and commissioning of new boiler systems, provide basic operational guidance to clients, and participate in occasional emergency call-outs as required.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of boiler systems, burners, pumps, valves, and associated mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Hands-on experience in boiler inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Understanding of safety standards, pressure vessel regulations, and relevant local codes.
• Basic knowledge of electrical controls, sensors, and instrumentation related to boiler operations.

• Good communication skills for interacting with clients, supervisors, and team members in a professional manner.

• Prior experience as a boiler technician or in industrial maintenance is preferred; willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.
