A global aerospace leader in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Senior IT Technical Product Manager. You will define and execute product visions in the PLM domain, collaborating with diverse teams and managing product backlogs. The Boeing Company is currently seeking a high performing Senior IT Technical Product Manager with strong Engineering/PLM domain knowledge to join the Product Systems build team in Bangalore, India. The Product Systems build team provides comprehensive software solutions to rapidly access and visually transform complex engineering and manufacturing product data.
We are looking for passionate Technical Product Management professionals who know how to define, de-risk and execute against a product vision. You will work to create, own, and continuously improve strategic and tactical plans for your product. You must also be able to engage our internal customer’s management with discussions about methodologies, culture, and best practices.
This is a collaborative role that requires being able to work with internal customers and colleagues in co-located and integrated product teams. The role demands strong product instincts, excellent communication skills, technical fluency, empathy, humility, an understanding of the product vs. project mindset, and an appreciation for and ability to teach agile, lean startup, and user-centered design values, principles and practices. A successful candidate must be willing to contribute to the development of the methodology and product management discipline.
Researches complex or multiple processes, applications, systems and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design. Consults with customers to clarify and refine complex requirements. Interprets and translates complex requirements into functional specifications. Leads and performs activities to develop and execute tests to validate system functionality against specifications.
The individual must work closely with the team of Project Managers, Business Functions and key stakeholders across the company to successfully drive the project through various phases of Planning, Prioritization, Execution, Production Readiness and Post Production program health and sustenance of Applications, and Maintain dashboards in Azure Devops or equivalent status reporting tools providing real-time visibility of Product development Progress
Good communication skills are needed both verbally and written, to Interact with peers and customers. Job requires working within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results. Other qualities for this candidate are a positive attitude, self-motivated, the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
11-15 years of overall experience in IT, At least 4+ years in Product Management playing the role of Product Specialist/Business Analyst/Product manager role, with a strong Engineering domain knowledge in PLM domain
Must have experience working on integrations with PLM systems like Enovia, 3DX, etc,, involving processing engineering drawings into different formats such as HTML5, glTF, 3D PDF, etc..
Must have Exposure to 2D and 3D Engineering Content Visualization Tools like Accusoft, Anark, Prism viewer, etc..
Extensive knowledge on Model Based Engineering
Must be able to Translate Engineering Functional requirements to Product capabilities and define Product roadmap
Must have experience in managing product backlog, writing features, user stories, and managing releases.
Must have experience working in Agile Methodologies (eg. SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
Must have experience working representing team with stakeholders.
Must have experience working on test approaches and prioritization with development teams.
Understanding of IT systems and architectures and ensuring that application integrates well in the overall system architecture
Must be able to understand product vision as well as the end-customer requirements to dictate system requirements in order to drive product backlog grooming as well as development.
Extensive knowledge of customer’s/supplier’s organization, processes, policies and procedures, products, requirements, capabilities, practices, support resources, preferences, constraints, etc.
Must have excellent system level analysis skills.
Consistently clarifies expected behaviors, knowledge, and level of proficiency by guiding, seeking and giving information and checking for understanding. Consistently provides instruction, positive models, and opportunities for observation in order to help other project managers.
Should have an eye for Customer-Centric approach and proposing IT solutions to solve business problem statements
Excellent communication skills to work in a globally distributed team.
Typical Education & Experience:
Typically 11-16 years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (eg. bachelor, master, etc) preferred but not required.
