Job summary

HARMAN is seeking an Embedded Software Developer with 3–5 years of experience, preferably in Automotive SW, to join our engineering team in Bengaluru. You will work on embedded platforms, Bluetooth Android architecture, and board bring-up, addressing kernel crashes and system issues.

You should have a solid background in multi-threaded programming, AIDL implementations, and Android UT development, and you will collaborate across hardware and software to deliver robust automotive solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience as a developer, preferably in Automotive software.
• Hands-on experience in multi-threaded programming.
• Proven debugging and root-cause analysis of embedded system & application issues, e.g., kernel crashes.
• Strong hands-on experience with Bluetooth Android architecture.
• Exposure to board bring-up and hardware handling.
• Understanding of AIDL and its implementations.
• Experience in UT development on Android systems.
• Exposure to Bluetooth Core protocols and profiles (HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP & MAP).

Strong fundamentals on Embedded product development. Preferably from Automotive or Mobile devices.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer/Electronics Engineering or equivalent from premier institutes
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Developer - preferably in Automotive SW.
• Hands-on experience in multi-threaded programming.
• Proven experience in debugging and root-causing embedded system & application issues like kernel random crashes.
• Very good hands-on experience with Bluetooth Android architecture
• Good understanding and exposure to Bluetooth Core protocols and profiles such as HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP & MAP
• Experience in UT development on Android systems.
• Good exposure on board bring-up and Hardware handling.
