Job summary

Opus Technologies in Pune, India is seeking a motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Production Support Engineer to support critical production applications, ensure high availability, and drive continuous improvement.

You will monitor system availability, manage incidents, automate deployments, build dashboards, and collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Security and Business Operations teams to reduce outages and enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system availability, reliability, performance, and health.
• Define and track SLOs, SLIs, SLAs, error budgets, and key operational metrics.
• Manage production incidents, escalations, and service-impacting issues.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive and corrective actions.
• Develop automation to reduce manual operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, DevOps, Security, and Business Operations teams.
• Analyze operational and business data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Build dashboards and reports to track system and business performance.
• Support capacity planning, performance optimization, scalability, and availability initiatives.
• Participate in incident response, on-call support, post-incident reviews, and problem management.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, alerting, and operational workflows.
• Establish and maintain runbooks, SOPs, operational documentation, and knowledge bases.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
• Support cloud infrastructure, application reliability, and disaster recovery initiatives.
• Communicate operational risks, incidents, KPIs, and improvement plans to business and technical stakeholders.
