Job Summary
The Executive will be responsible for end-to-end management of the BIS certification process (Product Certification, FMCS, and CRS) for various product categories. This includes technical documentation, coordinating with foreign and domestic manufacturers, managing laboratory testing, and ensuring timely grant of licenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation & Application Management
- Preparing and verifying technical files, including critical component lists (CCL), plant layouts, and manufacturing flowcharts.
- Filing online applications on the BIS portal (Manak Online) for FMCS (Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme) or CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme).
- Ensuring all documents comply with the latest Quality Control Orders (QCO) and Indian Standards (IS).
- Product Testing & Lab Coordination
- Assisting clients in identifying the correct Indian Standard (IS) applicable to their products.
- Coordinating with BIS-recognized labs for sample submission and tracking testing progress.
- Reviewing test reports to ensure they meet all parameters before final submission to the Bureau.
- Liaison & Coordination
- Acting as the primary point of contact between the client, the BIS department, and the Authorized Indian Representative (AIR).
- Scheduling factory audits and coordinating with BIS auditors for physical or remote inspections.
- Providing real‑time updates to clients regarding the status of their certification.
- Compliance Monitoring
- Tracking validity dates and managing timely renewals of existing licenses.
- Assisting in the inclusion of new models or varieties under existing licenses.
- Keeping updated with latest Ministry notifications regarding QCO extensions or new mandates.
- Performing initial and ongoing document verification received from clients in regard to the BIS filings.
- Identifying process deficiencies and developing solutions to improve them.
- Submitting a scope of work for each project that includes budgetary numbers and the goal of each project.
- Factory audit of the clients and, as per the BIS law, making them understand provisions and guiding them.
- Query clearance if any received from the BIS government department.
- Timely performing tasks given by management.
- Coordinating with clients through mail and different modes of communication.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics) or Science.
- Experience: 2–3 years in Regulatory Compliance, Quality Control, or BIS Consultancy.
- Attributes: High attention to detail and the ability to manage strict government deadlines.
- Soft Skills: Strong command over English (for technical writing) and Hindi/Local language (for department liaison).
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Manak Online, IS/ISO standards, and specific schemes (Scheme I, II, or IV).
- Experience in factory audits and government compliance procedures.
- Ability to analyze technical documents and provide practical solutions.
- Good communication and client‑handling skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Position Rewards
Paid‑Fixed‑Range: 20,000 – 30,000 Monthly.
