Job summary

WSP India is seeking a skilled draughting/design support professional to back our design teams. The role focuses on creating 3D visualizations and 4D models, and on extracting quantities for BoQs from 3D models.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in design/drafting, knowledge of BIM MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, and an Electrical engineering background preferred. This position is based in India with potential mobility within WSP offices.

Qualifications

• Plan and manage workload; demonstrate lateral thinking.
• Understand limitations of oneself and the software used.
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical engineering preferred in addition to Draughting qualifications.
• 5+ years' production experience in design, drafting and engineering with relevant track record.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Support design teams and bid teams with the creation of 3D visualizations
• Support design teams and bid teams with creation of 4D models / visualizations
• Prepare quantities for use in BoQs from the 3D model

Qualifications

• Have good English communication skills
• Be able to work closely with colleagues at a senior level.
• Have a valid passport and be prepared to be seconded for up to 3 months to the UK Must have good working knowledge of Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spread sheets, e-mail, web-enabled applications and database software.
• Ability to plan and manage his/her workload Lateral thinking
• Ability to understand own limitations and limitations of the software being used
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical engineering is preferred in addition to Draughting qualifications
• 5+ year's production experience in design, drafting and engineering with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record

Experience in the use of the following software is essential:

• BIM MEP
• AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
• Navisworks

Experience in the use of the following software is desirable but not essential:

• Autodesk 3ds MAX
• MS Excel
• MS Word
