Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a BIM Modeller with 2-5 years of experience in civil and rail infrastructure projects. You will create BIM models using Revit, MicroStation or Open Building Designer and align outputs with BIM standards.

Work involves cloud collaboration, model coordination across disciplines, and adherence to project workflows. BE / Diploma in Civil/Structural is required; strong communication and self-learning are essential.

Qualifications

• BE / Diploma in Civil / Structural from a recognized Institute.
• 2 to 5 years of BIM modelling experience in Civils & Rail infra projects.
• Familiar with BIM standards and project workflow criteria.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform BIM modelling for designated disciplines under supervision.
• Ensure model/drawings accuracy per BIM standards and workflow criteria.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for design changes and model updates.
• Export models in i-model/NWC/IFC formats for collaboration.

Required Competencies:

• Basic knowledge in UK / Euro codes, standards and practices related to BIM modeling & structural detailing.
• Learn to work collaboratively on a cloud CDE (ProjectWise & BIM 360)
• Working knowledge in Revit, MicroStation or Open Building designer

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Principal Duties & Key Responsibilities:

• Design and perform BIM Modelling for specific design discipline using BIM modelling software’s under the supervision / direction of more experienced colleagues.
• Ensure models / drawings accuracy based on BIM standards and BIM project workflow criteria / checklist.
• Clean up and synchronize models/drawings on a daily basis to the cloud collaboration platform.
• Ensure all productions are completed on schedule or in a timely manner.
• Report regularly to Senior BIM modeler / Principal BIM modeler on the progress of work.
• Ensure all exported information are recorded in the correct directory.
• Self-check of work and ask for feedback
• Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines regarding design-changes and model changes;]
• Adhere to the BEP and BIM project workflow criteria;
• Follow BIM content standards and development procedures;
• Prepare discipline model and/or content for BIM coordination meetings;
• Export i-model/NWC/IFC and other formats for collaboration internally and externally
• Any knowledge in Design Automation is added advantage

Qualifications & Experience:

• BE / Diploma in Civil / Structural from a recognized Institute
• 2 to 5 years of experience.
• Experience in BIM modelling on Civils preferably Rail infrastructure Projects include Road / Rail Bridges, Footbridge, Ancillary civils, Stations, Depots
• Basic understanding of codes and standards related to area of work
• Good academics
