Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Electrical BIM/Drafting engineer to work within our Design & Engineering teams. You will contribute to 3D/4D/5D model development, substations drafting, and BIM workflows across UK-based projects while mentoring junior staff and ensuring BEP compliance.

Role requires 7+ years in main plant drawings, strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Forma, BIM 360, and a solid grasp of UK codes and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Strong drafting expertise in substations, main plant drawings, grounding and lighting.
• Proficient with BIM tools (AutoCAD, Forma, BIM 360) and automation workflows.
• Knowledge of UK BEP requirements and project documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project documents are accurate, clear, and compliant with standards.
• Resolve complex drafting issues and support automation initiatives.
• Maintain drawing registers and master drawing lists, ensure timely submissions.
• Mentor drafting team and provide technical guidance to project members.
• Develop 3D/4D/5D models linked to schedule and estimation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company MS system.
• Lead model audits and ensure interoperability across platforms.
