Job summary

Deerns Spectrum Pvt Ltd is seeking a BIM Modeler specialized in Mechanical (HVAC) for its Mumbai (Thane Office) operations. The role focuses on creating, updating and coordinating BIM models for MEP services in line with project standards, BIM workflows, and client requirements.

The candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams across Plumbing, Electrical, Architectural and Structural domains, perform clash detection, generate CSDs, and contribute to timely BIM outputs for international

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of BIM modelling experience for Mechanical (HVAC) systems.
• ASHRAE and SMACNA knowledge is preferred.
• Good written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models for HVAC systems (ductwork, ventilation, chilled water).
• Use Revit to create accurate 3D models and coordinate with MEP teams.
• Perform clash detection with Navisworks Manage and resolve issues.
• Extract drawings, schedules, and quantity take-offs from BIM models.
• Keep drawings/docs updated and controlled through project lifecycle.
• Support BIM Coordinator/Manager with audits, checks, and documentation.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure timely BIM outputs.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced BIM Modeler specializing in Mechanical (HVAC) systems.

The selected candidate will be responsible for creating, updating, and coordinating BIM models for MEP services while ensuring compliance with project standards, BIM workflows, Level of Development (LOD), and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models for HVAC systems including:
  • Ductwork
  • Ventilation systems
  • Chilled water piping
• Utilize Autodesk Revit to create accurate and detailed 3D models
• Interpret design inputs, drawings, and project documentation
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including:
  • Plumbing & Firefighting
  • Electrical & ELV
  • Architectural
  • Structural
• Generate Combined Services Drawings (CSDs)
• Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage or similar tools
• Extract drawings, schedules, and quantity take-offs from BIM models
• Ensure all drawings and documentation are updated and controlled throughout the project lifecycle
• Support BIM Coordinator/Manager in:
  • Model audits
  • Quality checks
  • Documentation
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of BIM outputs
• Provide regular progress updates to reporting managers/superiors

Software Proficiency

• Autodesk Revit (Mandatory)
• Navisworks Manage (Clash Detection)
• AutoCAD (Basic)
• ACC and other cloud collaboration platforms

Skills & Competencies Required

• ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in BIM modelling for Mechanical (HVAC) systems
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as:
  • ASHRAE
  • SMACNA
• Design experience will be an added advantage
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Experience working on international projects
• Self-driven, disciplined, punctual, and hardworking
• Basic knowledge of Revit plugins for automation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
