Job summary

Egis in Bengaluru, India seeks an experienced BIM Modeler - Electrical to develop comprehensive electrical BIM models for challenging projects. You will collaborate with architects and MEP teams to deliver clash-free, accurate designs using Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools while ensuring compliance with Indian standards.

You will generate 2D schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings, coordinate across disciplines to resolve clashes, and support BOQ preparation and procurement

Qualifications

• 8+ years of BIM electrical modeling experience on complex projects.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Revizto.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and CDE workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Indian electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Create 2D schematics and single-line diagrams with accuracy.
• Generate construction drawings from BIM models for execution.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve clashes.
• Perform clash detection and interface coordination in Navisworks/ACC.
• Prepare electrical layouts for power, lighting, cabling, and containment.
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations and BIM standards.
• Support in updates, clarifications, and timely model deliveries.
• Assist BOQ take-offs and procurement coordination.

• Develop detailed and accurate electrical BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, and related software, ensuring compliance with Indian electrical standards and project specifications
• Create 2D schematics and single-line diagrams with precision and clarity
• Generate comprehensive construction drawings from BIM models for seamless project execution
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve design clashes and conflicts proactively
• Perform clash detection and interface coordination using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Prepare detailed electrical layouts encompassing power distribution, lighting systems, cable routing, and containment solutions
• Ensure all designs adhere to local regulations, project requirements, and established BIM standards
• Support design teams with timely model updates and technical clarifications to maintain project momentum
• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs, bills of quantities (BOQ), and coordination drawings for procurement and construction phases
• Meet project deadlines consistently while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
• Support the BIM management team in delivering high-quality digital outputs and facilitating seamless information sharing across discipline teams
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the MEP content library to enhance team efficiency
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment

• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in BIM electrical modeling on complex projects
• Advanced proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revizto for electrical system modeling
• Demonstrated experience working on collaborative platforms and Common Data Environments (CDE), particularly Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, Indian electrical codes and standards, and comprehensive BIM workflows
• Proven expertise in clash detection, coordination drawings, and interdisciplinary design coordination
• Solid understanding of power distribution systems, lighting design, cable management, and electrical containment systems
• Experience with quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex design challenges
• Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail and quality assurance
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated capability to mentor and support junior team members
• Proficiency in time management with a proven track record of meeting project deadlines
• Preferred: Experience on projects within the Indian market or South Asian region
