There are 4,500 vacancies for the Community Health Officer (CHO) role on a contractual basis at Health & Wellness Centers in Bihar. Candidates should be eligible to apply based on the criteria described below.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Sc Nursing with a 6‑month Community Health Certificate (CCH) issued from 2020 onwards
• OR Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with a 6‑month CCH certificate
• OR GNM with a completed CCH certificate issued from 2020 onwards

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 42 Years for Male (UR/EWS)
• Maximum Age: 45 Years for Female (UR/EWS)
• Maximum Age: 45 Years for Male/Female (BC/MBC)
• Maximum Age: 47 Years for Male/Female (SC/ST)

Age relaxation as per Bihar SHSB norms is applicable.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification of shortlisted candidates. Candidates who qualify the merit list will be called for document verification and further recruitment formalities.
