Job summary

Luxoft India is looking for a Senior Python Tester to join their team for a leading investment bank's Trade Surveillance Project. The role requires at least 7 years of BI development experience with a strong emphasis on SSIS, SSAS, and SQL Server. Candidates should possess strong system design skills and experience with CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins. Knowledge of Banking or Capital Markets is highly desirable. Expect to ensure documentation is current and deliver high-quality applications and processes.

• Provide technical expertise to the team.
• Delivery results based on requirements set by the team lead.
• Provide oversight for the quality of the application and artifacts related to the application analysis and development.
• Collaborate with the production support team to implement sound change planning and change management.
• Be proactive in uncovering risk, manage and drive risks and issues understanding business impact.
• Strive for Best Practice in design and development.
• Contribute to the technology strategic agenda by driving application architecture simplicity and by minimizing production incidents through high quality development and processes.
• Be an active participant in regular task elaboration, prioritization and estimation workshops.
• Ensure Documentation is up-to-date and relevant.
• Build effective relationships with key Business Stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills Description

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in BI development with a strong focus on SSIS and SSAS (Tabular model).
• Strong understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Detailed experience with SQL Server, Integration Services, Analysis Services (Tabular), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Power BI.
• Hands‑on experience writing efficient SQL queries and working with Tabular models using DAX.
• Strong system design skills within SQL Server Business Intelligence environments.
• Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of MDX (Multidimensional Expressions) and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).

Domain Knowledge

• Knowledge of Banking, Capital Markets, or Treasury products is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle the complexity and dynamic nature of the Financial Services environment, with applications requiring adaptability, flexibility, and quick learning in complex setups.
