Job summary

InvestCloud Bengaluru seeks a Data Governance & BI Analyst to own the dashboards, data models, and governance standards across key platforms. You’ll ensure daily refreshes, optimize data sources, and translate user feedback into actionable visuals that support management decisions.

You will partner with services, engineering, and project teams to implement data-quality rules and automate reporting with Claude AI, delivering trusted insights for business strategy.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience building, maintaining, and optimizing Power BI dashboards, datasets, and data models.
• Proven ability to manage Power BI data refreshes, gateways, and data sources, including monitoring and resolving daily refresh failures.
• Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data-cleansing principles, with experience remediating orphaned, incomplete, and inaccurate records.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Tempo, including how project and time-tracking data is structured, entered, and reported.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a support function, manage competing priorities, and respond to user feedback in a timely manner.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, computer science, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure all production Power BI dashboards and their underlying datasets refresh successfully every day, proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving refresh failures to minimize reporting downtime.
• Manage Power BI datasets, data sources, gateways, and scheduled refreshes, optimizing data models for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Gather and act on user feedback, making timely adjustments and enhancements to existing dashboards — visuals, measures, filters, and layouts — to improve usability and decision-making.
• Design and build new dashboards, reports, and visualizations that transform data into actionable insights and drive timely, data-driven management decisions.
• Partner with leadership across both business lines to define the metrics and KPIs that matter most, delivering the analysis and insights that inform strategic and operational management decisions.
• Establish and maintain data governance standards, policies, and procedures that ensure data entered in Jira, Tempo, Salesforce and other primary platforms used across InvestCloud are clean, complete, consistent, and aligned to defined conventions and provide a single source of record across the firm.
• Identify, investigate, and remediate data-quality issues — including orphaned, incomplete, duplicate, and inaccurate records — across datasets and related source systems.
• Develop data validation rules, audits, and exception reporting to detect bad data early and prevent recurring quality issues.
• Partner with Enterprise Solutions, project managers, and team leads to define data-entry standards and drive adoption across teams.
• Document data sources, definitions, metrics, and governance processes to create a single, trusted source of truth for reporting.
• Leverage AI and automation — including Claude, Jira, and Tempo — to automate manual reporting, data-quality, and governance processes, reducing repetitive effort and improving accuracy and consistency.

What does a great Data Governance & BI Analyst do?

A great Business Intelligence and Data Governance Analyst is part data steward, part analyst, and part detective. They transform data into insight — building the dashboards, reporting, and analysis that guide management decisions — while keeping every dashboard refreshing on schedule and translating user feedback into clear, actionable visuals. They relentlessly pursue clean data, identifying and remediating orphaned, incomplete, and inaccurate records before they undermine reporting, and they apply AI to automate the manual, repetitive work of reporting and data governance. They partner closely with Professional services, Engineering, project teams, and platform owners to establish governance standards and make trusted data the default across the organization.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Financial services or wealth technology industry experience, ideally within a matrixed (shared resources) environment
• Experience with Jira and Confluence administration, and with Tempo time-tracking and reporting
• Proficiency with JQL (Jira) and Microsoft Excel for data modeling and transformation
• Experience using Claude or similar AI tools to accelerate reporting, documentation, and data-quality workflows
