Job summary

Nedbank is seeking a BI Data Analyst in India to create and maintain tabular models and interactive visualizations. You will champion Power BI adoption, develop dashboards, and engage stakeholders with actionable insights while coaching team members.

This role emphasizes data-driven storytelling and cross-functional collaboration. You will leverage SQL Server Analysis Services and prepared data to deliver fit-for-purpose BI solutions, with a focus on clarity, usability, and impactful

Qualifications

Must have relevant data visualization and BI experience.

Job Purpose

To create and maintain tabular models, provide business intelligence analysis, and create interactive, dynamic visualizations that effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders. The role requires a strong foundation in UI/UX design, storytelling, and data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. The successful candidate will champion Power BI adoption, lead dashboard development, and have a good grasp of building tabular models housed on Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.

Data Visualization: Design and develop interactive data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

Diploma
Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

Bachelor’s degree (in Engineering or Data Science) or Certified Data Analyst

Minimum Experience Level

5+ years of experience in data visualisation or a related field
Strong portfolio showcasing interactive and dynamic visualizations
Proficiency in data visualisations tools like Tableau, Power BI or similar technologies
SQL Fundamentals: Understanding of SQL Syntax , data types and query structures
Strong understanding of data analysis and statistical concepts
Excellent communication and storytelling skills
