Education / Qualification

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification in a similar field

Purpose and Nature

• Lighting Electronics Product Design (for Head Lamp, Tail Lamp, Fog Lamp etc) in automotive applications using Altium Designer, Autocad in close coordination with PD team.
• To interact with the customer and understand the requirements from product & Electronics perspective.
• Support business development team for tech shows and other business driving initiatives

Roles & Responsibilities

• The LEE is part of a development team for head lamps, rear lamps and control modules and is reporting directly to the Team leader LEE Function.
• She/he will be responsible for handling different activities during the project lifecycle. Handling the activities such as preparation and maintaining the time plan, preparing the RFQs, releasing the data in RTC, interacting with customer for different deliverables etc.
• Guiding hardware engineer for proof of concept and by helping them in WCCA.
• Interacting with cross functional teams (Optics, CAE or Program management) to meet timelines and deliverables.
• During the product development all internal process requirements and activities like design reviews and releases need to be followed and supported.
• It may be requested to present the design internally and to our customer.
• Performance of product benchmarks.
• Support of pre-development activities.
• Conceptualize, design, and develop new bumper-mounted sensor technologies, including ultrasonic etc.. Sensor data processing algorithms. Sensor network topologies

Skills

• Good electronics knowledge
• Basic knowledge of LED specific technologies and LED drivers (linear, DC/DC converters)
• Sound knowledge of PCB technologies and PCB assembly manufacturing process as per automotive requirements
• Good knowledge of EMI/EMC specifications
• Good Knowledge of Automotive sensor
• Readiness to continuing education and follow up on latest technology trends in the lighting business
• Awareness of cost-efficient designs
• Good English language, communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to work in an international environment
• Ideally you bring some knowledge of electronics engineering in the automotive environment and have experience with the following software tools
