What awaits you/ Job Profile

  • BEV Integration Delivery: Execute vehicle architecture, packaging and integration activities for dedicated or highly optimized battery-electric M1 passenger-car platforms under the guidance of the Module Lead or System Architect.

  • Work-Package Ownership: Own assigned integration work packages from concept through design release and validation, ensuring achievement of agreed quality, cost and timing targets.

  • Battery and Underbody Integration: Develop and converge battery envelope, mounting interfaces, protection zones, service clearances, ground clearance, underbody aerodynamic features and adjacent-system interfaces.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with Battery, E-Powertrain, Body-in-White, Chassis, Thermal, E/E, Charging, Styling, Safety, Ergonomics, Manufacturing and Homologation teams to resolve packaging and interface issues.

  • Digital Vehicle Integration: Maintain complete-vehicle DMU content for assigned zones and perform clash, clearance, motion-envelope, assembly-feasibility and tolerance reviews.

  • BEV Attribute Support: Contribute to range, energy efficiency, charging, thermal, mass, cost, crash safety, NVH, dynamics, package and customer-usability target achievement.

  • Issue and Milestone Management: Prepare technical reviews, track interface issues, maintain decision and risk logs, and deliver assigned outputs at vehicle-development milestones.

  • Technical Collaboration: Support engineers, share best practices and contribute to simulation-led, model-based and agile development methods supporting an agile concept-to-customer target.

What should you bring along

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: 5 to 10 years in automotive product development, with relevant experience in BEV passenger-car packaging, platform engineering or complete-vehicle integration.

  • Program Exposure: Practical contribution to at least one vehicle program from concept, design development or validation toward SOP. BEV passenger-car program experience is strongly preferred.

  • BEV Domain Understanding: Working knowledge of battery packaging, e-drive installation, charging architecture, thermal integration and high-voltage component interfaces.

  • M1 Passenger-Car Expertise: Understanding of passenger-car customer, regulatory, crash, packaging and market requirements. Exposure to a European or German OEM engineering environment is advantageous.

  • Digital Engineering: Strong hands-on capability in CATIA V5/V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE and Teamcenter or equivalent PLM, including contextual design and large-assembly working methods.

  • Collaboration: Good communication, structured problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills, with the confidence to present technical findings and drive issue closure.

Must have technical skill

  • BEV Vehicle Packaging: Strong hands-on capability in vehicle dimensions, hard points, occupant package, battery envelope, front or rear e-drive installation, charging hardware and underbody interfaces.

  • High-Voltage Battery Integration: Working knowledge of pack mounting, crash clearances, sealing zones, vent routing, thermal interfaces, electrical isolation, serviceability, tolerances and manufacturing installation.

  • E-Powertrain Integration: Experience packaging e-machines, gearboxes, inverters, high-voltage junction components, DC/DC converter, on-board charger and related cooling and mounting systems.
