Job summary

AECOM India Private Limited in Ahmedabad is seeking a BESS Electrical Engineer to lead PMC monitoring and coordinate interfaces across OEMs, contractors and the client for battery energy storage systems.

The role requires a BE/B.Tech in Electrical or related field (M.Tech preferred) and hands-on experience in electrical systems, testing, commissioning and HOTO, with on-site project delivery.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Power Electronics, E&I or Renewable Energy; M.Tech preferred.
• Experience in PMC monitoring and energy storage projects.
• Knowledge of electrical construction, testing, commissioning and HOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day PMC monitoring of the BESS package from delivery and installation through system integration, performance testing and HOTO.
• Coordinate interfaces with OEM/contractors/clients to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
• Review schedule, quality, HSE, warranty/compliance, delivery and performance-testing risks.
• Submit verified readiness and escalation reports to PMO BESS Lead.

Job Description

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Direct BESS PMC discipline resources and coordinate OEM/contractor/Client interfaces.
• Monitor installation and readiness for battery containers, PCS, transformers, MV switchgear, auxiliaries, HVAC/FSS and EMS/BMS/SCADA integration through the BESS Electrical Engineer.
• Review schedule, quality, HSE, warranty/compliance, delivery and performance-testing risks.
• Coordinate energization and integrated performance-test readiness across technical disciplines and grid interfaces.
• Consolidate package recommendations, risk escalations and recovery requirements.
• Submit verified readiness and HOTO recommendations to PMO BESS Lead.

Principal Client-Facing Outputs

• BESS package status and risk report.
• Energization/performance test readiness recommendation.
• HOTO/closeout status report.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Power Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation or Renewable Energy Engineering; M.Tech preferred.

Additional Information

• Lead day-to-day PMC monitoring of the BESS package from delivery and installation through system integration, performance testing and HOTO.
• Leads package PMC monitoring; OEM/contractor retains installation, software configuration, operation and guaranteed performance responsibility.
