Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC in Bengaluru seeks an Application Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will develop technical solutions, size systems, engage customers, and prepare proposals for utility-scale and C&I storage projects.

The role requires strong knowledge of BESS sizing methodologies, grid integration, and PCS/EMS. Collaboration with Sales, Product Management, and EPC teams is essential to deliver optimized BESS solutions for diverse applications.

Qualifications

• BE or M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, Energy Storage, or Microgrid projects.
• Experience sizing systems for 500 kWh C&I up to 500+ MWh utility-scale BESS.
• Exposure to DC- and AC-coupled Solar + BESS architectures and PCS tech.

Responsibilities

• BESS solution design and sizing based on customer requirements.
• Develop technical proposals, compliance matrices, SLDs, BOMs and datasheets.
• Support sales with technical discussions and customer workshops.
• Coordinate with engineering teams for project execution and grid studies.
• Conduct simulations and techno-economic analyses including ROI/IRR.
