Job summary

Mercor is seeking a PDF Annotation & Transcription Expert – Bengali for remote contracting work. You will evaluate Bengali PDF pages for legibility, annotate structure, assign component types and reading order, and transcribe text with script accuracy.

Capture page metadata, record relationships to figures and tables, flag illegible areas, and review a colleague’s work to ensure quality. Must be a native Bengali speaker with full command of the script and experience in document annotation,

Position: PDF Annotation & Transcription Experts – Bengali

Type: Contract

Compensation: $10–$11/hour

Location: Remote

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Native Bengali speaker with full command of the script.
• Experience with document-related work such as annotation, transcription, or translation.
• High attention to detail with character-level accuracy.

• Comfort with unfamiliar layouts like multi-column newspapers and handwritten forms.

Preferred

• Experience in regional-language AI data annotation and labeling.
• Skills in transcription and localization, including MTPE and OCR correction .
• Background in document production such as typesetting and proofreading.
• Knowledge of script and encoding, including Unicode normalization .
